Job Description

Loudoun County is one of the fastest-growing counties in the country, known for its excellent quality of life and strong economy, while embracing its historic presence. Located 35 miles west of Washington DC, Loudoun County offers a diverse blend of cultural, recreational, and educational opportunities. Loudoun County Department of Family Services (DFS) is seeking a dedicated professional to serve as a Case Aide within the Child Protective Services program. The successful candidate will join a diverse department that envisions better health, safety, and well-being for all. The Department supports individuals and families in the community to live their best lives while advocating for those most vulnerable and respecting their right to self-determination. The work of a Case Aide is multifaceted, as outlined in the core responsibilities: Provides administrative support to the DFS Unit or program. Assists in the implementation of service plans developed by social workers, transports children/families to counseling, appointments, or community resources, and provides childcare during meetings with families. Demonstrates compliance with County, Department, and Division policies and procedures, and federal/state laws and regulations, as applicable to the position. Responds to requests from specialists to assist with services to clients or families. Prepares written statements, case documentation, and court documents. Collaborates with specialists in the development of client case records, management plans, court preparation documents, and educational material. Provides administrative support for clients, which includes transportation, child supervision, supervised visitation, and documentation. Assists specialists with purchasing items to assist clients. Assists law enforcement in criminal investigations and sensitive child forensic interviews. Coordinates, schedules, and facilitates case management meetings with clients, investigators, specialists, and other staff. Conducts extensive client background research under short time constraints to ensure accurate and timely completion of case management initiatives. As applicable, uses bilingual skills to perform job tasks by translating verbal statements/information or written documentation. Hiring Salary is commensurate with experience. High school diploma and two (2) years of directly related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred:
Bilingual in Spanish and English. Pass pre-employment, criminal, credit, DMV, and CPS/APS (depending on program area) background checks. Valid driver's license and good driving record (driving records may be reviewed annually for continued qualification).
