Job Title:
Volunteer Manager Our Mission Foster Love is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Our vision is to improve the lives of children in foster care throughout America who often find themselves forgotten and neglected by the public. We collaborate with community partners to bring resources to youth in foster care and use service-learning activities to educate volunteers on issues surrounding the foster care system. Our foundation has allowed us to provide thousands of foster youth across the country with new bicycles, college supplies, and sweet cases so that children do not have to travel from home to home with their belongings in a trash bag.

Full-time; includes evenings and weekends Job Summary The Volunteer Manager (VM) plays a vital role in the Development Department, focusing not only on managing and expanding Foster Love's volunteer base, but also on strategically converting volunteers—individuals and groups—into financial supporters and donors. This dual-impact position facilitates engaging volunteer experiences, cultivates long-term relationships, and ensures each volunteer interaction is aligned with development goals. The VPM will coordinate volunteer events in line with established goals , foster a welcoming environment, maintain robust communication, and use Google Apps and Zoho (or other CRMs) to manage data and communications effectively. The VM also oversees the Foster Love Club's growth and engagement strategies, supports student and community inquiries, and ensures all events are well-planned, clean, and impactful. Responsibilities Plan and facilitate regular volunteer events through each week, as well as on evenings and weekends depending on demand, and in line with established goals. Engage and retain individual and group volunteers through personalized outreach and follow-up. Maintain consistent, professional, and engaging communication with all volunteer contacts. Oversee the full lifecycle of volunteer management—recruitment, orientation, engagement, and conversion. Clean, set up, and break down the warehouse space before and after all volunteer activities. Partner with internal departments to identify projects that align with current community and operational needs. Answer public inquiries, including general public, student, and nonprofit group questions, interview requests, and educational engagement. Coordinate closely with the Director of Development to support strategic fundraising efforts. Maintain and update volunteer records using CRM systems; report data regularly. Lead the continued development of the Foster Love Club, including recruitment, communication, and donor engagement strategies.
Additional Requirements:
Availability to work after-hours and weekends for events as needed. Ability to lift and carry materials for event setup and breakdown. Travel 25%
