About the Role The Community Engagement Coordinator is a part-time employee position, up to 20 hours per week, covering the various territories. This role is the front-facing voice of Highpointe Day Services in the community. You will introduce Highpointe Day Services to Regional Center case managers, service coordinators, and community stakeholders, educate them on the full range of services we provide, and build the sustained relationships that connect individuals and families to the support they need. This is a field-based, relationship-driven role. A company vehicle is provided for all qualifying work duties and outreach activities. Your schedule will flex around community events, Regional Center meetings, provider fairs, and phone outreach cycles. What This Role Does Day to day, you will: Make outbound calls to Regional Center case managers and service coordinators across all regional centers to introduce Highpointe Day Services and communicate the services we provide Attend Regional Center provider fairs, community events, and networking opportunities to represent Highpointe Day Services in person Build and maintain trusted relationships with case managers, service coordinators, and community partners across all three territories Clearly communicate the range of Day Programs and services Highpointe Day Services offers so that case managers can confidently refer individuals and families to us Research opportunities to attend and engage with by regularly visiting Regional Center websites, DDS and IDD-focused websites, and community message boards to stay current on events, announcements, and networking opportunities Follow up on referral conversations and track engagement activity in our internal systems Work closely with Highpointe Day Services leadership to align outreach efforts with organizational priorities and growth goals What We Are Looking For We are not looking for the finished product. We are looking for the right person. Highpointe Day Services will provide training on the IDD space, Regional Center systems, and our specific programs. What we cannot train is character. The person we are looking for brings the following to work every day: A genuine heart for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and the communities that support them Natural ability to connect with new people and make them feel heard, respected, and informed Confidence on the phone and in person — comfortable making outbound calls, following up consistently, and holding conversations that open doors Strong follow-through and self-management — you can organize your own week within company parameters, stay accountable to your commitments, and communicate proactively when plans change A learner's mindset — you ask good questions, you absorb new information quickly, and you are energized by growing into new areas of expertise An orientation toward service, not just tasks — you understand that behind every call and every relationship is a real person who deserves excellent support Comfort working in a field-based, independently structured schedule with light daily supervision Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply, particularly those serving Inland Empire or San Gabriel Valley communities Experience in healthcare, human services, community outreach, sales, or social services is a plus. Experience in the IDD or Regional Center space is welcome but not required. We will invest in the right person.
