Workshops help participants build confidence, promote wellness, and generate income. As the VISTA Outreach Coordinator, you will build on the referral and participant recruitment systems developed in Year Two. You will evaluate current referral partnerships, identify priority gaps, attend community events and resource fairs, and formalize new partnerships with community organizations. You will also design and pilot a standardized warm handoff process with program staff, then document it and train staff to run it after your service year. We are looking for someone comfortable representing an organization at public events, building relationships with community partners, and creating clear, simple tracking tools and documentation. This is a capacity building role focused on strengthening systems, not on carrying an ongoing caseload of individual participant follow up. You will design and test a referral process that staff can operate independently going forward. You will gain experience in community outreach and partnership development, along with training and professional development offered through AmeriCorps VISTA.
