Since 1979, CID has been a vital resource in promoting independence and accessibility for the disabled community. Summary We are seeking a dedicated Disability Disaster Access & Resources (DDAR) Coordinator to join our team in California. This role is essential in coordinating disaster access and resource programs to support individuals with disabilities during emergencies, aligning with our mission to promote independence and community integration. Responsibilities Coordinate disaster access initiatives and resources tailored for individuals with disabilities. Collaborate with local agencies and community partners to ensure effective disaster preparedness and response. Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders involved in emergency management. Assist in planning and implementing outreach programs to educate the community about disaster resources. Maintain accurate records of program activities and participant information. Advocate for accessible emergency services and accommodations. Support the organization's mission by ensuring inclusive disaster response strategies. Qualifications Proven experience in administrative support within medical or community service settings. Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Knowledge of disability rights and accessibility issues is preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with emergency preparedness protocols is a plus. Prior experience in nonprofit or advocacy organizations is advantageous. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required. Lived experience with disabilities and/or fluent in more than one language highly desirable.
