Job Description

Position Summary:
NOTA Fitness & Wellness is seeking a creative, energetic, and community-focused individual to serve as our Health Engagement Specialist. This hands-on, holistic role involves facilitating and supporting a variety of wellness-centered community events including field days, nutrition experiences, creative activities, interactive wellness stations, and more. This person will be the face of NOTA at events, embodying our values of connection, wellness, and fun. This is a non-technical, experience-driven position ideal for individuals who are passionate about health, movement, community engagement, and making wellness accessible for all ages.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up, manage, and facilitate event stations such as: Field day games and movement challenges Minute-to-Win-It stations Salad bars, taco bars, and other food demonstration setups Murder mystery or themed community activities Planting or nature-based wellness stations Represent NOTA at information tables, engaging the public and distributing wellness resources. Work with internal teams to coordinate event logistics, including supplies, materials, and setup/tear-down. Lead interactive activities for all age groups — children, teens, adults, and seniors — adapting energy and tone as needed. Provide positive encouragement and ensure inclusive participation at every event. Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment during events. Support post-event breakdown and assist with event feedback or recap summaries as needed. Preferred Qualifications (Not Required): Prior experience in community programming, health and wellness, or education. Comfort with public speaking and engaging with diverse audiences. Creativity and a sense of play — a willingness to have fun while promoting wellness. CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain). Background in fitness, nutrition, youth programs, recreation, or holistic health is a plus.
