INSPIRE & IIY
programs in the community, event coordination, and communications. Additionally, the Community Outreach Specialist will work collaboratively with Family Success Coaches to organize workshops and/or training opportunities to promote client engagement and success. This role will be responsible for writing client and community partner-facing newsletters and providing coverage at our IIY after-school sites when Site Leads are not available to be at work.
Primary Functions:
Assist with client recruitment activities through communication with community partners/events to provide information about the program to potential clients at referring partner sites. Cultivate relationships with community partners, local leaders, businesses, and government officials to build a resources bank for Family Success Coaches. Update and maintain a list of community partners' Develop marketing materials for
INSPIRE & IIY
programs to promote our 2-Gen services and events. Assist with preparing presentations for community partners, clients, and staff. Communicate with program participants and community partners to share program updates and upcoming events. Collaborate with Family Success Coach(s) and INSPIRE Program Coordinator with efforts to support INSPIRE clients with onsite and virtual educational programming opportunities, including but not limited to: Attend meetings with community organizations to enhance program operations, including but not limited to the INSPIRE program collaborative partner meeting. Assist with community outreach and referring partner recruitment initiatives. Collaborate with team members to create and organize meeting agendas for INSPIRE staff meetings by gathering information about agenda topics. Provide support to IIY after-school programs by leading student activities and supervising apprentices when Site Leads are absent from work. Other duties as assigned Skills Attention to detail and accuracy when completing paperwork/reporting client service data Demonstrate professional demeanor, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels. Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel & Outlook Professional language skills for both verbal and written communications in a business setting Preference for candidates that are bilingual (Spanish)[DP5] [SR6] and fluent with verbal and written communication in Spanish Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age Associate's degree (bachelor's preferred) Documentation of eligibility to work in the United States required (I-9 form documents) required Valid Indiana Driver's License Clean driving record required to operate LCFS vehicles Must pass background check and adhere to all LCFS Employee Policies and Procedures, including requirement to maintain a drug-free workplace Ability to forge mutually respectful partnership with persons & families served to help clients gain skills & confidence Focus on strengths of client/family Conviction about the capacity of people to grow & change Ability to work in a team setting & independently Able to maintain appropriate boundaries & set limits in working with clients Must be able to recognize & effectively respond to cultural differences of clients Able to maintain confidentiality of client records Must possess the following characteristics: Working Able to work hours needed to accomplish assigned tasks including evenings and weekends (as needed). Position requires on-site presence at LCFS and community partner locations.
