Job Description

Description:
The Office Assistant assists with the overall operations of the Office of New Americans (ONA). The main programs to be supported include the Welcome, Neighbor! Donation center, walk in/urgent request coordination, community event support, and tracking/distribution of Welcome, Baby! Kits. Support the general operations of the Welcome, Neighbor! donation center. Help prepare the space by restocking supplies, keeping inventory of items low in stock, and collaborating with program volunteers. During distribution days supports crowd management and engaging clients, checking clients in, and coordinating distribution. Establish and maintain relationships with interns/volunteers and donation center guests. Support the overall operations of the Office of New Americans programming including stocking/supply maintenance, community events, collaborating with community partners, etc. Help ensure program materials are prepared, organized and available to clients (red cards, flyers, brochures, etc.) Attend community meetings, help coordinate programs & community events offered by ONA, including assisting in community outreach, and supporting walk in/urgent requests for ONA. Data entry, Microsoft Office Suite & Pantry Helper Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
Culturally sensitive with a willingness to learn. Experience working with people of diverse backgrounds. Ability to work with individuals with recent traumatic experiences in a respectful and trust building manner. Able to lift up to 50lbs Valid driver's license preferred Fluency in another language. Rate:
$20 per hour
