)+ Mileage Reimbursement Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Community Outreach Liaison to serve as a vital bridge between our organization and the diverse communities we serve. In this role, you will develop and implement strategic outreach initiatives, foster meaningful relationships, and build strong community partnerships across Southern Maryland and the Greater Baltimore region. In this role, you will serve as the primary face of our organization, engaging local businesses, healthcare providers, community groups, and local leaders to build referral pathways and foster trust. Your passion for community service, combined with excellent communication skills and project management expertise, will drive impactful programs that enhance our organization's visibility and positive influence within local neighborhoods. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible difference while honing your skills in public relations, social media management, and community development. Duties Build and nurture relationships with community leaders, organizations, and stakeholders to promote collaboration and mutual support. Plan, coordinate, and execute community outreach events, workshops, and public presentations to raise awareness of organizational initiatives. Manage media relations by developing press releases, liaising with local media outlets, and ensuring positive coverage of community programs. Utilize social media platforms to share updates, engage audiences, and amplify outreach efforts through targeted marketing campaigns. Collect data on community needs and feedback to inform strategic planning and improve outreach effectiveness. Oversee volunteer management by recruiting, training, and coordinating volunteers for various community activities. Prepare reports on outreach activities, engagement metrics, and project outcomes to support continuous improvement. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree (Preferred): Communications, Public Relations, Public Health, Marketing, Business Administration, Social Work, or Human Services. Healthcare /Clinical Focus:
Employers often seek candidates with a background in healthcare administration, health education, or a clinical credential (such as LPN/MA), though a general communications or business degree remains standard. Proven experience in community outreach, public relations, or related fields with a strong emphasis on community engagement.High School Diploma or GED:
Often sufficient if the candidate brings 3+ years of strong, verifiable local networking experience, event planning skills, or sales backgrounds. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (Required). Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable delivering public presentations for diverse audiences. Must have your own reliable personal vehicle for daily local field travel throughout Southern Maryland and Baltimore (Required). 1-3+ years of experience in community outreach, field marketing, healthcare liaison, or sales preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for report writing and data analysis. Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends depending on scheduled community events Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Experience with social media management tools and social media marketing strategies to enhance community presence. Ability to build rapport quickly with community members, partners, and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds. Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to effectively serve multilingual communities. Demonstrated project management skills including budgeting, strategic planning, and event coordination.
