GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This position is a member of the Leadership team. The Washtenaw Recovery Advocacy Project (WRAP) Program Manager works closely with the Director of Community Initiatives and CEO and performs a variety of tasks related to advocacy, community education, and stigma reduction as related to those with substance use disorders. The position requires an understanding of community services and event planning, organization of scheduling of activities and tasks; tracking information and data entry. This position is involved at the local, state, and federal levels in the promoting and advocating of the Recovery-Oriented Systems of Care (ROSC), involving the inclusion of Recovery Supports. The WRAP Program Manager also serves as a face and voice of recovery in the community, with the intention of helping others to find hope for those with substance use disorders, and assists in creating a recovery-friendly community by networking with numerous local organizations and businesses.
DESCRIPTION
Coordinate established annual WRAP events, such as the Walk for Recovery, the Recovery Softball Game, and "Recovery Is" Panel Discussions. Coordinates weekly recovery meeting schedules. Reach out to community supports to request assistance with activities. Recruit and train WRAP volunteers. Participate in Leadership team meetings. Maintain comprehensive list of donors, sponsors, and resources within the community. Coordinate, schedule, and attend a monthly regional meeting for all Recovery Community Organizations in the PIHP region (Livingston, Lenawee, Washtenaw, and Monroe). Coordinate monthly WRAP meetings, including securing a rotating chairperson, creating the agenda, and regular communication with volunteers. Participates in general staff activities (i.e. staff meetings, trainings, etc.). Coordinate, schedule, and attend meetings locally and at the State level related to the program. Complete data entry for required reports. Engage in occasional public speaking opportunities to help educate the community about substance use disorders, the importance of creating recovery-friendly communities, and the hope for recovery. Maintain partnerships with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies and continue seeking new partnership opportunities. Maintain connections with local media outlets and continue seeking new partnership opportunities. Provides supervision for Recovery Coaches and Recovery Access Coordinators in coordination with the Director of Recovery Strategy & Implementation. Participate in performance reviews as appropriate. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Recovery Strategy & Implementation or CEO. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
A High School Diploma is required, but a degree in social work or related field and/or addictions certification is preferred. They must have the ability to work independently and collaboratively as well as efficiently able to manage priorities. Able to work with diverse populations and cultural backgrounds and persons in different stages of recovery. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, an Outlook) and ability to use standard office equipment (i.e. computers, faxes, copiers, printers, and calculators). Have a current and valid driver's license.
EXPECTATIONS
This is a full-time hourly position. This position must maintain strict confidentiality in performing the duties of the WRAP Program Manager. They will have current working knowledge of addiction, recovery, and area resources. This position must also demonstrate the following personal attributes: Be honest and trustworthy, be respectful, possess cultural awareness and sensitivity, be flexible, and demonstrate sound work ethic.
PERFORMANCE REVIEWS
Written and verbal reviews will be conducted annually and / or as appropriate. The Director of Community Initiatives will complete the performance review and will meet with the employee to read and discuss this review. A copy will be given to the employee and the original will be kept in the employee file in a locked cabinet.

From $20.00 per hour
