Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Street Outreach Specialist to join our dedicated team committed to serving underserved communities. In this vital role, you will actively engage with individuals ages 16 to 24, experiencing homelessness, addiction, or social isolation, providing outreach, support, and resources to foster positive change. Your energetic approach and strong interpersonal skills will help build trust and connect vulnerable populations with essential services. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while developing your skills in public health, social work, and community engagement. Duties Conduct proactive outreach on the streets, parks, shelters, and other community spaces to engage individuals in need of support Build rapport with diverse populations including youth, and young adults. Provide information about available services such as housing assistance, healthcare, addiction counseling, and social programs Collaborate with local organizations to coordinate program development and resource sharing Collect data on outreach activities and client interactions to monitor program effectiveness and inform future strategies Utilize social media platforms and marketing techniques to raise awareness about outreach initiatives and community resources. Experience Strong public speaking skills for engaging diverse audiences effectively Background in program development, project management, or community outreach initiatives Knowledge of social media management and marketing strategies for community engagement Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously Proficiency in data collection tools and technical platforms used for reporting and communication Leadership experience in youth programs teaching or social work environments is a plus Excellent writing skills for documentation, reports, and promotional materials CPR certification and familiarity with working with underserved populations are preferred Join us as a Street Outreach Specialist to empower communities through energetic engagement, strategic program development, and compassionate service.
