Full Job Description About Hope Faith:
Hope Faith, with its mission pillars of Care, Rest, and Work, is the only low-barrier Homelessness Assistance Campus in Greater Kansas City. Founded in 2004, Hope Faith's fundamental principle is to help our homeless guests reclaim their dignity and stability through mental, emotional, and spiritual support. We serve all people without hesitation or reservation, guided by our values of providing Care, Rest, and Work. Hope Faith-Homeless Assistance Campus works to alleviate homelessness and poverty in Kansas City, Missouri, by providing basic necessities and assistance, as well as providing critical services and programs to empower individuals experiencing homelessness and at-risk individuals to become self-sufficient and independent. Hope Faith is a non-denominational, Christian-based organization that accomplishes this mission through a variety of programs and services.Overview:
The Development Coordinator will oversee the creation and implementation of the organization's advertising, marketing, and communications programs and manage the CRM. This position involves community relations activities, such as representing the organization outside the walls of Hope Faith at various fundraisers and community events in the Kansas City area. This person should have robust database (CRM) skills, digital design experience, a keen attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. This position is the primary liaison between volunteers, visiting groups, & community-related endeavors. S/he will oversee all scheduling and communication with volunteers, including orientation/training, database tracking, calendar management, and coordination with different departments where the volunteers will serve.This is a salary non-exempt position.
Job Responsibilities:
FUNDRAISING
Present potential donors and community partners to the Executive Director. Support and attend Hope Faith fundraisers and community events. Assist with planning fundraisers Create marketing materials for all fundraising events Oversight of fundraising campaigns with the guidance of the Executive Director Manage event platform for fundraising events GRANTS The ability to assist with grant research and the writing of grants as instructed by the Executive Director Report necessary funding data as scheduled by the funder. Maintain a grants calendarDATA BASE/SOCIAL MEDIA
Have robust database (CRM) skills, digital design experience, a keen attention to detail Manage the organization's CRM, including running reports, tracking donations (monetary and in-kind), doing donor base upkeep, etc.) Oversight of donor thank you letters, calls, and other communications. Create and distribute donor emails with the guidance of the Executive Director Ensure that signage around campus is branded correctly, following Hope Faith's standards Manage social media platforms, including monitoring incoming comments and messages Create content for social mediaVOLUNTEERS
Recruit, retain, manage, and steward all aspects of volunteer-related activity. Attend community events that align with the mission of Hope Faith. Develop and maintain volunteer training and orientation programs. Supervise volunteers for the entire duration they remain on the property. Track and record volunteer data. Send timely thank you communication to volunteers. Seek feedback from team members to identify volunteer opportunities/areas of need within the organization.Job Requirements:
4-year degree from an accredited institution is preferred, or a high school diploma with equivalent experience in a directly related field Driven and deadline-conscious. High level of organizational skills. Experience working with digital creation and website design (WIX and Canva are a plus) Working knowledge of Google Suite. Ability to manage a database efficiently and timely Experience using a CRM (Neon is a plus). Strong interest in philanthropy An interest in serving the homeless A self-starter with a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. A solid team player who also can work independently. Detail-oriented with the ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Sound judgment and ability to be discreet in communications. Ability to lift to 50 lbs. Ability to climb stairs and the ability to walk and stand for periods. Valid driver's license and working vehicle to attend events when needed. Accepts and performs other duties as assigned.Hours/Compensation:
This is a full-time, non-exempt salaried position, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 3 pm (We operate a minimum 35-hour work week that might require up to 40 hours some weeks or as assigned by the Executive Director.
