We're hiring a Family Peer Support Specialist — a parent or caregiver who has firsthand experience raising a child with disabilities or behavioral/mental health challenges. If you've navigated Nevada's systems of care and want to use your journey to help other families, this is the role for you.
What You'll Be Doing:
Supporting parents and caregivers through peer mentoring Helping families understand resources, services, and rights Attending school, community, or system meetings with families Sharing your lived experience to improve systems and policies Raising awareness in the community through outreach and presentations
What You Bring:
High school diploma or equivalent Compassion, communication, and problem-solving skills Familiarity with Nevada's System of Care and resources for families Comfortable with public speaking, outreach, and data entry Flexibility to work evenings/weekends and travel locally Why Join Nevada PEP? About Nevada PEP:
Nevada PEP is a nonprofit organization serving families statewide who are raising children with disabilities including those with behavioral health challenges. We offer training, resources, and family-to-family support to help families successfully navigate services and systems. As a "family of families," we walk alongside one another through challenges, offering care, guidance, and understanding rooted in lived experience.

$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
