Overview Cornwall Social is more than a farm, café, and event venue. We're building a place where people gather to learn, connect, and experience the rhythms of the seasons. Set on 11 acres in the Hudson Valley, Cornwall Social includes a café, greenhouse, market, walking trails, educational programming, and two event spaces currently under construction. We believe that food, farming, nature, and shared experiences can bring people together, and we're creating opportunities for our community to do just that. We're seeking a Community Engagement Coordinator to help cultivate those connections through educational programming, storytelling, events, and community partnerships. This role combines communications, workshop coordination, content creation, and event support to help bring the Cornwall Social mission to life. This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys both creativity and organization—someone who can coordinate a workshop, write a newsletter, capture a beautiful moment on the farm, and help create meaningful experiences for our guests and community. The Role As Community Engagement Coordinator, you will work closely with ownership, the farm team, café staff, and future restaurant and events teams to develop educational programming, grow community participation, and share the Cornwall Social story across multiple platforms. You will play a key role in shaping Cornwall Social's educational offerings and community programming. Duties & Responsibilities Community Programming Coordinate workshops, classes, and educational events throughout the year Work with staff, local experts, artists, chefs, farmers, and guest instructors to develop programming Manage workshop scheduling, registrations, communications, and event logistics Help identify and develop new educational opportunities aligned with Cornwall Social's mission Support the planning and execution of seasonal events and community gatherings Storytelling & Communications Manage Cornwall Social's Instagram presence and publish a minimum of five posts per week Create and schedule social media content, including photography, video, stories, and reels Maintain a monthly content calendar highlighting farm activities, events, café offerings, and seasonal experiences Capture content throughout the property, including the farm, greenhouse, café, workshops, and events Coordinate and distribute a weekly email newsletter Edit and publish weekly blog content, including recipes, gardening tips, environmental topics, and articles written by staff members Assist with website updates and promotional materials as needed Events & Guest Experience Promote workshops, classes, farm experiences, and special events Assist with event planning, setup, and execution (including our grand opening!!!) Serve as a welcoming point of contact for instructors, community partners, and guests Help ensure that educational programs and events provide a positive and memorable guest experience Community Partnerships Build relationships with local schools, nonprofits, environmental organizations, artists, farms, and community groups Explore opportunities for collaborations and educational partnerships Help expand Cornwall Social's role as an educational and cultural gathering place in the Hudson Valley Collaborative Teamwork Participate in weekly team meetings Work closely with farm, café, and leadership teams to identify stories, programming opportunities, and community needs Help maintain consistent messaging and communication across all platforms and guest touchpoints Qualifications Experience in community engagement, event coordination, communications, marketing, education, hospitality, nonprofit work, or a related field Strong written communication and editing skills Experience managing social media accounts for a business, organization, farm, restaurant, or community-focused organization Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a small team Interest in food, farming, sustainability, hospitality, environmental education, or community-building Preferred Experience coordinating workshops, classes, or public programs Photography and content creation experience Experience with email marketing platforms Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar) Experience with blogging, website management, or content marketing Experience working with community organizations, schools, or educational programs Requirements Reliable transportation Ability to occasionally attend evening and weekend events, workshops, and community programs Comfortable working outdoors and moving throughout the property to capture content and support events Strong time management skills and self-direction Enthusiasm for engaging with the public and representing Cornwall Social Cornwall Social values work-life balance. Evening and weekend event hours will be offset with adjusted hours during the same workweek to maintain a consistent schedule.
