Job Description

About Us:
Chenango Ambulance Services, Inc. is a dedicated non-profit volunteer emergency medical services agency providing vital care to our community. We are seeking a passionate, community-minded individual to join our leadership team for a one-year AmeriCorps VISTA fellowship focused on building our agency's long-term capacity, sustainability, and community footprint. This is an administrative and strategic leadership role, not a clinical hands-on medical position.
Key Responsibilities:
Capacity Building:
Help secure vital capital grants to fund lifesaving equipment (such as LifePak 35 heart monitors and Stryker ambulance stretchers).
Community Outreach:
Conduct local recruitment initiatives and develop public relations strategies to engage anchor residents.
Public Education:
Coordinate community CPR and "Stop the Bleed" training programs.
Digital Presence:
Manage the agency's social media, digital communication, and community outreach marketing.
Compliance:
Assist with reporting and documentation compliance.

Living Stipend:
Provided regularly through the AmeriCorps program.
End-of-Service Award:
Eligible for an AmeriCorps Education Award (to pay off student loans or future tuition) or a cash stipend upon successful completion.
Professional Development:
Direct mentorship from EMS executive leadership, networking opportunities within regional healthcare systems, and comprehensive training.
Resources:
Company vehicle provided for official outreach duties.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid Driver's License. Strong written communication, organizational skills, and a passion for public service. No college degree or prior medical experience required.
Schedule:
Full-time (One-year commitment)
Pay:
Up to $32,357.00 per year
