This part-time role helps build bridges between the church and the wider community through relationship-building, service, and radical inclusion. Position Overview The Partnerships and Outreach Coordinator will report to the Lead Pastor and work closely with the Short North Church community to strengthen relationships within the congregation, expand partnerships across the city, and help embody the church's mission of love and inclusion. This part-time position (approximately 20 hours per week) is ideal for someone passionate about faith in action, community connection, and creative collaboration in an urban setting. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and support church small groups, volunteer activities, and service projects. Develop and nurture partnerships with local organizations, nonprofits, and neighborhood initiatives. Help lead efforts around radical inclusion and uplifting the marginalized , ensuring all are welcomed and cared for. Attend monthly staff meetings and regular check-ins with Lead Pastor. Represent Short North Church at community events, neighborhood meetings, and off-site gatherings. Qualifications Experience working in an urban setting or with diverse communities is strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to connect with people from a variety of backgrounds and life experiences. Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Creative, self-motivated, and collaborative in approach. Alignment with Short North Church's values of affirmation, inclusion, and social justice. Previous experience in local community engagement, nonprofit work, church ministry, or social services is a plus. Who You Are You are a compassionate, adaptable leader who loves building meaningful connections between faith and community. Comfortable both coordinating behind the scenes and engaging directly with people, you bring energy and creativity to urban ministry and to living out love and hospitality in real, tangible ways. Compensation and Schedule This position is approximately 20 hours per week, including occasional evenings and weekends for events. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
