Position Introduction:
The Anne and Henry Zarrow School of Social Work is seeking a student worker to join our team as a Recruitment and Events Assistant at the University of Oklahoma Norman Campus. This position will assist in social work recruitment efforts, event planning and supporting the work of the Social Work Student Association. This is a great opportunity for students who possess strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively and interact professionally with students, faculty and student body. Work hours for this position are flexible during regular business hours of 8am to 5pm, working up to 28 hours per week at a rate of $10 per hour. This appointment is for Fall 2026 semester, but an earlier start date may be available. Serves as Social Work student recruitment liaison by assisting faculty and staff with development and efforts of recruitment strategies for prospective students to the social work program. This includes attending recruitment events, organizing information sessions, updating prospective student data base and other duties in connection with recruiting efforts.
Required Education and Experience:
Must be currently enrolled in the Fall 2026 Term as an undergraduate student in good standing at the University of Oklahoma. Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.

Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with faculty, staff and fellow student workers to support recruitment, outreach, events and engagement efforts for the social work program. Attend recruitment events on campus and at local community colleges. Assist with organizing information sessions, outreach events and community engagement activities for prospective students. Conduct outreach with campus organizations and provide information about social work programs. Set up, organize, clean and reset tables, materials and community spaces before and after events. Assist with social media and promotional efforts related to recruitment, student engagement and program awareness. Update prospective student databases and assist with communication regarding program and application information. Work closely with the Social Work Student Association to support initiatives, meetings and events. Help maintain communication channels, including email lists and social media platforms, to keep students informed and engaged. Provide flexible support across team responsibilities to promote a collaborative and professional work environment.
Skills:
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with students, faculty and student body.
