Community Relations Coordinator

The Community Relations Coordinator is responsible for supporting and maintaining the community's census goals through outreach, relationship-building, tours, and follow-up with prospective residents and referral sources. This role serves as a key ambassador for the community and works closely with leadership, clinical staff, and residents to ensure a positive experience from first inquiry through move-in. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, hcoordinating events, and working in a senior living environment. Key Responsibilities Maintain budgeted census expectations by responding to inquiries, conducting follow-ups, and generating new leads Build and maintain referral relationships through weekly outreach to physicians, attorneys, bankers, clergy, and other community partners Conduct guided tours for prospective residents and families Present the community to individuals, organizations, and community groups Follow up with prospects via phone calls, written correspondence, and in-person visits Track and update prospect information using an inquiry tracking system Assist with securing deposits and educating prospects on the move-in process Coordinate and support community marketing and outreach events Develop public relations efforts, including special events and community engagement opportunities Prepare accurate weekly, monthly, and annual marketing reports Introduce new residents to appropriate team leaders and assist with a smooth transition Attend marketing events, lectures, trainings, and company in-services Maintain awareness of resident needs and communicate changes to the Director of Resident Services Work collaboratively with staff using a team-based approach Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications & Skills Genuine compassion and concern for older adults Strong interpersonal, listening, and communication skills Ability to build trust and close in a "soft sales" environment Professional appearance and demeanor Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize a large workload Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment Dependable and self-motivated Education & Requirements High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally for outreach Ability to sit, stand, and work on the phone and computer for extended periods Ability to lift up to 25 pounds Must remain drug-free Required or ability to obtain: Food Handler's Permit First Aid Certification Abdominal thrust (Heimlich) training Working Conditions Combination of office work, tours, outreach visits, and community events Local travel required; mileage reimbursed per government standards Occasional attendance at trainings or retreats (travel expenses covered by company) Why Join Us Meaningful work serving seniors and their families Supportive leadership and collaborative team environment Opportunity to grow within senior living and community relations
