Our Community Outreach Team Members are detail oriented, able to think on their feet in a fast-paced environment and enjoy work with a heavy emphasis on acting as a liaison between communities and businesses. They serve as a welcoming and hospitable presence to all who live, work, and play in communities they serve. As part of a unique program, Community Outreach Team Members apply a trauma-informed lens to build rapport and trust with community members, businesses, and houseless individuals. While working in the field, the Community Outreach Team actively and warmly engages with the public. Providing information such as restaurant recommendations, directions, and information on local events to the those visiting their service area. The Community Outreach Team also champions compassionate care to all those that they interact with. Our Team intervenes to de-escalate mental health crises and other behaviors, escalating to appropriate parties as needed. Regular activities include conducting welfare checks, connections to resources, and offering referrals to service providers who can assist with case management, documentation, housing, and more. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy being on the move and who are comfortable staying on their feet for extended periods. Community Outreach Team Members walk and stand for the duration of their shift. SCHEDULE & PAY
This is a full-time position with a Day shift schedule. Flexibility is needed to pick up extra shifts if the needs arise. In-house trainings take place every other Wednesday. Wages for this role start at $23.00 per hour.
REQUIREMENTS
You must have a current and valid OR/WA driver's license with at least 3 years verifiable driving experience, a clean driving record and be at least 21 years of age to meet insurance requirements.
