Job Description Position Summary KIPP North Carolina (KIPP NC) seeks enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and mission-driven individuals for the role of KIPP NC Student Enrollment and Recruitment Ambassador (SERA). The Ambassador role offers an opportunity for individuals to develop professionally and help expand the school's community. Ambassadors will receive training to support the implementation of student recruitment and outreach activities and create sustaining connections with new families in the school's community. Ambassadors will report directly to the Director, Student Enrollment Strategies and collaborate with school-based operations teams. This role is an exempt, full-time position that will require work on some weekends, evenings, and holidays. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Support the implementation of family and student recruitment and outreach activities Coordinate ongoing activities for outreach with School Operations Collaborate with school operations leaders to prepare and implement outreach activities to recruit new families and students to KIPP, including flyering, canvassing and tabling in the school community Hold 1:1 conversations with current and prospective families Outreach to the community Identify and plan for opportunities to participate in events around the school community throughout the school year Identify and develop partnerships with community based organizations that could amplify or promote KIPP through their networks, events, and other communications Support the organization and hosting of events that welcome community organizations and leaders to the school community Lead Generation Track all prospective students in HubSpot meticulously collecting data to ensure continuous engagement and success in enrollment targets Enter accurate data into SchoolMint to convert prospective students into applicants. Ensure that all notes in SchoolMint are correct within applicant records Complete calling campaigns to convert leads to applicants Qualifications Qualifications Bachelors degree required Outreach, canvassing, and communication experience is preferred Experience working as part of a team in a professional setting Recruitment experience highly preferred (campaigning, talent, student, etc) Knowledge/skills required: Successful candidates will have the following knowledge and skills to take on the role: 100% aligned with the mission and values of KIPP North Carolina Credible amongst peers and possess strong relationship building skills Excited to learn and grow Results-oriented Welcoming to all communities Strong communication skills. Spoken and written language skills other than English welcomed (in Durham, Spanish-speaking preferred). Familiarity with productivity tools (word-processing, spreadsheets, calendars)
Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands Physical:
Ability to navigate office and school campuses, and hold meetings in different spaces. Must be able to walk, sit, and stand for long periods of time and actively converse and participate with others.
Mental:
Stress of deadlines and normal work standards, ability to analyze problems and generate alternatives, memorize and recall objects and people.
Environmental:
Canvassing, tabling, and flyering in the field will require work outdoors, monitor environmental conditions, and take appropriate safety precautions for the pandemic environment. Occasional classroom/school environment and travel. Additional Information Compensation is commensurate with experience. Travel in the Triangle (Durham, Raleigh, Chapel Hill) required. Hybrid work
