Job Description
Overview M&B Sciences is seeking a relationship-driven Patient Recruitment Community & Provider Engagement Specialist to develop and maintain partnerships that support patient recruitment for clinical trials. This position will engage healthcare providers, community-based organizations, faith-based organizations, patient advocacy groups, and other trusted community partners that serve individuals who may be eligible for clinical research opportunities. The Specialist will educate partners about clinical trials, identify appropriate pathways for sharing study information, coordinate outreach activities, and help connect potentially eligible individuals with M&B Sciences' patient recruitment and screening services. The ideal candidate is comfortable communicating with physicians, nurse practitioners, practice managers, community leaders, and members of the public. The individual must be able to translate complex clinical research information into clear, accessible language while building trusted, long-term relationships across diverse communities. Key Responsibilities Healthcare Provider Engagement Identify and engage healthcare providers, practices, clinics, and health systems serving patient populations relevant to active clinical trials. Conduct outreach through telephone, email, virtual meetings, in-person visits, and professional events. Educate providers and staff about approved study opportunities, general eligibility requirements, referral processes, and patient support services. Develop and maintain productive provider relationships and compliant processes for sharing study information with potentially eligible patients. Coordinate presentations, webinars, office meetings, and other provider engagement activities. Respond to questions, connect providers with appropriate internal resources, and follow up to support continued participation and address referral barriers. Community Partner Engagement Identify and build relationships with community-based, faith-based, advocacy, public health, social service, and other trusted organizations. Educate partners about clinical research, current study opportunities, and appropriate ways to raise awareness. Coordinate presentations, health education sessions, screening events, informational meetings, and other outreach activities. Represent M&B Sciences at community events, conferences, coalition meetings, and networking activities. Work with partners to develop culturally appropriate outreach approaches, particularly for populations historically underrepresented in clinical research. Maintain regular communication and provide updates on relevant studies and engagement activities. Patient Recruitment Support Develop and implement study-specific engagement plans in collaboration with internal project, recruitment, marketing, and operations teams. Communicate approved study information accurately and direct interested individuals to the appropriate prescreening or referral pathway. Coordinate with Patient Support Specialists to support timely follow-up. Identify participation barriers and recommend outreach improvements based on stakeholder feedback and recruitment performance. Support multiple recruitment campaigns across therapeutic areas and geographic markets. Relationship and Activity Management Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, partner status, meetings, referrals, follow-up, and recruitment outcomes in company tracking systems. Manage a pipeline of prospective and active provider and community partners. Monitor engagement performance and prepare reports on outreach activity, partnerships, referrals, and key performance indicators. Use data to evaluate outreach effectiveness and identify productive relationships and activities. Maintain records of approved materials and assist with developing presentations, scripts, emails, educational materials, and partner toolkits. Compliance and Professional Standards Use only company- and study-approved recruitment and educational materials. Follow applicable study, Institutional Review Board, privacy, company, and clinical research recruitment requirements. Protect confidential patient, provider, partner, study, and company information. Clearly distinguish general study information from medical advice. Complete required training and represent M&B Sciences professionally in all interactions. Experience Bachelor's degree in public health, healthcare administration, communications, community health, social sciences, marketing, business, nursing, life sciences, or a related field; relevant professional experience may be considered in place of a degree. At least 3 years of experience in healthcare outreach, provider relations, community engagement, clinical research, patient recruitment, public health, healthcare business development, pharmaceutical engagement, or a related field. Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining relationships with healthcare providers, community organizations, or both. Strong verbal communication, relationship-building, presentation, and public speaking skills. Ability to explain healthcare or research-related information clearly to audiences with different levels of health literacy. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple studies, partners, deadlines, and follow-up activities simultaneously. Experience using Microsoft Office applications, virtual meeting platforms, and customer relationship management or project tracking systems. Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment while collaborating effectively with internal teams. Ability and willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time, including occasional evening or weekend events. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local and regional travel.
