Job Description

Community Service Coordinator Position The Cesar Chavez Foundation is a non-profit organization that serves low-income families in California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas through affordable housing and social service programs. Under the direction of the Regional Program Coordinator, the Community Service Coordinator oversees the operations of the Si Se Puede Community Center programs and related activities. This position involves the use of judgment, supervisory ability, and skills in resident/community planning. The position requires implementing and supervising programs, classes and activities for effectiveness. The position requires supervision of residents, volunteers, and student interns. Community Service Coordinators are required to outreach to the community and establish partnership when needed.
THE RESPONSIBILITY
Maintain all ethical practices of the Cesar Chavez Foundation. by serving the community with character, integrity, dignity, and a high degree of professionalism Manage all Si Se Puede Community Center Programs, which consist of an Afterschool Program, Resident Social Services, Meal Distribution, Health and Wellness and Community Outreach Friendly, outgoing personality that establishes a welcoming environment within the facility for members and visitor Skill in maintaining record keeping and document retention systems and in compiling comprehensive reports
THE REQUIREMENTS
Preferred - Have at least 48 units of college credit from a two-year accredited college or related experience in Education/Youth Development/Community Services Preferably bilingual Knowledge of MS Office (Word/Excel/Access) required Able to work in a fast-paced environment Live scan Fingerprint/ background check Must provide proof of a negative TB test result taken within the last 2 years A valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record for the past three years This position does require the individual to commute between sites Must be First Aid/CPR/AED certified (or obtain within 30 days) and maintain those certifications Ability to lift and carry heavy objects as required for transportation, set up and conducting activities The ability to create partnerships to ensure all site/programming requirements are being met Essential Worker Position (This is not a work from home position)

Pay Range:
$17.00-$21.00
