Job Description
Position Summary:
The Part-Time Development Coordinator supports the fundraising, donor engagement, and community outreach efforts of Turning Point Advocacy Services. This position plays a key role in helping sustain and grow financial support for survivor services through donor stewardship, grant management, event coordination, sponsorship outreach, and community engagement.
Assist with donor cultivation, stewardship, and follow-up communications Maintain accurate donor records and gift tracking within donor database systems Support annual giving campaigns, sponsorship outreach, and fundraising initiatives Prepare acknowledgment letters, donor communications, and thank-you materials Assist with identifying prospective donors, sponsors, and funding opportunities Grant Management & Development Assist with grant research, proposal preparation, tracking, and reporting in collaboration with leadership staff Support collection of program data, narratives, and supporting materials for grant applications and reports Maintain grant calendars, deadlines, and organized funding records Support donor and funder communication and relationship-building efforts Event Coordination & Community Engagement Assist with planning and coordination of fundraising events and community outreach activities Support sponsorship requests, in-kind donations, and volunteer engagement efforts Represent Turning Point Advocacy Services at community events and networking opportunities as assigned Collaboration & Organizational Support Work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, board members, and community partners Participate in staff meetings and organizational planning efforts as needed Maintain confidentiality and uphold trauma-informed, survivor-centered practices in all interactions Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Communications, Nonprofit Management, Marketing, Public Relations, Business, English, or related field preferred Minimum of 2 years of experience in grant writing, fundraising, nonprofit development, or related field preferred Demonstrated experience managing grants from application through reporting strongly preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail Excellent organizational and time-management abilities Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously Experience with donor databases, Microsoft Office, Canva, and social media platforms preferred Passion for nonprofit work and survivor advocacy Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required Preferred Skills Successful track record securing grant funding Experience working with community foundations, government grants, and corporate giving programs Familiarity with fundraising campaigns and donor stewardship practices Comfort engaging with community stakeholders, businesses, and funders Work Environment This position offers a flexible, partially hybrid schedule with occasional evening or weekend events required. Work may occur in office settings, community locations, or remotely depending on organizational needs.
