We provide trauma-informed services, crisis intervention, prevention education, and advocacy designed from a Latino perspective to ensure culturally grounded and linguistically accessible support. Position Summary The Victims Engagement & Outreach Coordinator will provide direct support to Latino victims/survivors and lead outreach efforts to educate the community about domestic and sexual violence, prevention, and available services. This position plays a key role in ensuring language access for Limited English Proficient (LEP) community members and strengthening trust and awareness throughout the Hampton Roads region. This role is based out of our Chesapeake office and includes a combination of in-office, community-based, and occasional remote work. Key Responsibilities . Community Engagement & Outreach Plan, coordinate, and participate in outreach events, workshops, and presentations to increase awareness of domestic and sexual violence, prevention strategies, and available services. Represent the organization at community events throughout Hampton Roads. Distribute culturally and linguistically appropriate educational materials. Build and maintain partnerships with local agencies, schools, faith organizations, healthcare providers, and community groups. Strengthen community trust and visibility within Latino communities. Support culturally grounded education efforts that promote prevention, healing, and empowerment. Hotline & Survivor Access Support Provide bilingual (Spanish/English) crisis response and emotional support through the hotline. Conduct trauma-informed safety planning and crisis intervention. Connect callers to internal advocacy services and appropriate external resources. Serve as a welcoming and supportive first point of contact for survivors. Document hotline interactions and outreach activities in accordance with program requirements and data reporting standards. Qualifications Fluency in Spanish and English (required). Authorization to work in the United States (required). Experience in outreach, community education, victim services, or related human services work preferred. Strong understanding of Latino cultural dynamics and community trust-building. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both Spanish and English, verbally and in writing. Knowledge of domestic and sexual violence dynamics preferred. Strong organizational skills and ability to document services accurately.
