JOB SUMMARY
Primarily responsible for identifying potential clients for Promesa Medical Care Center. Inform the public about all services and programs available. Under the direction of the supervisor, maintains an aggressive outreach effort by meeting clients in the field rather than in traditional settings.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs outreach in the community at such places as homes through door-to-door interaction, schools, churches, agency sites and at various health fairs. Follow up with clients through phone, mail, and door to door. Must be able to keep proper documentation on clients and activities. Post informational posters, flyers and brochures at local stores, community centers, schools and churches. Maintains well informed of programs and services available to clients/patients. Performs other duties as assigned.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
The Director of Development will perform annual evaluations using the Performance Evaluation CDB Form No. 1006c (Rev. 2/94) wherein a satisfactory overall rating is considered a minimally acceptable level of performance.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Previous experience working in community outreach, customer relations and/or community based programs. Previous experience working and communicating with people on a one-to-one basis.
Other:
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Must have dependable transportation, Texas Driver's license and auto liability insurance
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position. Must be able to meet the attendance requirements of the position. Must not pose a threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace. Physical ability to lift up to 20 pounds unassisted. Must be able to deliver excellent customer service, externally and internally
