UVR empowers refugee families in their journey toward self-reliance by providing culturally responsive support in housing, employment, education, healthcare navigation, community outreach, and other essential services. UVR is committed to building strong community partnerships, increasing access to resources, and helping refugee and immigrant families successfully integrate, contribute, and thrive in their new community.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Community Development Coordinator is a leadership position responsible for developing, coordinating, and strengthening UVR's community-based programs. Under the direction of the Executive Director, this position leads community outreach, partnership development, client engagement, staff and volunteer coordination, fundraising and grant writing support, program reporting, and continuous program improvement. The coordinator serves as a key liaison between UVR, refugee families, community partners, volunteers, funders, and local stakeholders. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, cultural competence, and the ability to manage multiple programs while keeping services client-centered, mission-driven, and aligned with funding requirements.

Research funding opportunities, assist with grant writing, prepare program narratives, gather data, and support budget development for proposals and reports. Help build and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, foundations, and community supporters, and monitor grant-related deliverables for assigned programs. 6 Program Evaluation, Reporting, and Compliance Track program activities, client participation, outcomes, and service quality using organized documentation and data systems. Prepare clear reports for the Executive Director, Board, funders, and partners as needed. Use data, client feedback, and staff input to recommend improvements, demonstrate impact, and support compliance with grant and organizational requirements. 7 Other Duties Perform other duties as assigned based on organizational and program needs.
