Friday Night Children's Ministry Director Living Water Bible Church of San Diego San Diego, CA 92111 $20

- Part-time Position Summary The director is to plan, prepare, and direct a weekly Friday night program for kindergarten through 5th grade. The director ensures an engaging, spiritual environment using age-appropriate teaching techniques and equips volunteer teachers. Primary Responsibilities
Curriculum & Lesson Preparation :
Select and prepare Bible-based lesson tracks weekly for Kindergarten-3rd grade and 4th-5th grade and adapt supplemental activities and worksheets that reinforce each week's Bible lesson.Direct Teaching :
Personally participate in leading and teaching student groups.Volunteer Management :
Equipping and training church-provided volunteer leaders with lesson plans and instructions.Weekly Schedule Coordination :
Manage the Friday night two-hour children's program flowTeam Communication :
Email teachers early in the week with lesson plans, all necessary curriculum links, attachments, and teaching instructions.Event Logistics :
Arrive early to prepare classroom setup, organize supplies, facilitate early-arriver activities, and manage the student point-based reward system for the quarterly store. Required Clearances & QualificationsSpiritual Maturity :
Have a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ and demonstrate Christian character. Support the mission, beliefs, and values of Living Water Bible Church.Alignment :
Commitment to delivering Bible-based, age-appropriate material approved by LWBC staff.Background Check :
Must successfully pass a comprehensive criminal background check.Child Safety Training :
Successful completion of Ministry Safe training (or church-approved equivalent) prior to the start date.Experience :
Proven ability to teach and manage elementary-aged children (K-5th).Skills :
Strong organizational skills, clear communication, dependability, and ability to equip and support adult volunteers. Compensation Competitive hourly pay, based on experience and qualifications.
