Part-Time About the Parish St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church is a Catholic faith community dedicated to reverent liturgical worship and active parish life. We are seeking a skilled and faith-filled Cantor to lead, support, and encourage congregational singing during Masses and other liturgical celebrations. Responsibilities Lead the congregation in sung prayer during weekend and holy day liturgies. Proclaim psalms and other sung liturgical texts. Collaborate with the Director of Music, clergy, accompanists, and choir members. Attend rehearsals as scheduled. Prepare music selections assigned for liturgical celebrations. Assist in fostering active participation of the assembly through music. Qualifications Strong vocal ability with clear diction and a positive attitude to work with the music director. Knowledge of Catholic liturgy and sacred music traditions. Ability to read music and learn new repertoire efficiently and quickly. Experience serving as a cantor, soloist, choir member, or liturgical musician preferred. Reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively. Practicing Catholic preferred, or willingness to support and respect the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church. Compensation Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
