Full-Time (40 hours/week) Reports to:
Executive Pastor Summary of Position:
The Kid's Director will oversee ongoing evangelism and discipleship programs for children aged kindergarten through fifth grade in harmony with the doctrine, purpose, and vision of the church. This includes Sunday mornings, Wednesday nights, and an annual KidsCon. Ministry Oversight K-5th grade programming Volunteer recruitment & training Curriculum selection Safety policies Leadership Team building Parent communication Event planning (KidsCon, Kids Events, etc.) Administrative Scheduling volunteers Background checks Budget management
Essential Functions:
Serve as an example of godliness, humility, and disciple-making. Develop and expand ministries to k-5th grade and young families. Build, train, encourage, and invest in church members who serve children and young families through exceptional volunteer ministry teams. Communicate curriculum to volunteers for groups they are serving Effectively develop leadership teams within each ministry setting. Ensure that ministries to children and young families are biblically faithful and executed with excellence: Weekly Activities for Children's Department Preparing and communicating age-appropriate messages and shepherding the children and families Children's Church, Wednesday Night Activities, and VBS Annual Events to include VBS for the Children's Ministry Work alongside preK coordinator to create smooth Sunday morning experience. Create ministry opportunities to meet the needs of the community and church families. Communicate Children's Ministry information with the church family and the community. Work alongside the pastoral team to implement the vision of the church. Other duties as required.
