About the Role The Worship Leader is a full-time position responsible for leading weekly attenders into worship across multiple weekend experiences at Pinnacle Church. This role exists to create authentic worship environments that speak to all walks of life, not locked into one style, but always willing to grow, adapt, and reach people wherever they are. This is more than a performance role. The Worship Coordinator oversees and develops the full Pinnacle Worship team, including volunteer band members, vocalists, and volunteer team leads. We are looking for someone with genuine talent, stage presence, and a deep passion for leading people into an encounter with Jesus. Just as importantly, we are looking for someone who leads with care, investing in the people on their team and not just the product on the stage. Key Responsibilities Lead Congregation in Worship Lead the church in worship across multiple weekend experiences including Sunday mornings, our online experience (pre-recorded), and any holiday or special events Design worship experiences with both longtime attenders and first-time guests in mind, leading in a style that is accessible and authentic to people from all walks of life Continually evaluate and improve the worship experience for the congregation Plan and Prepare Partner with the Creative Pastor and team leads to plan songs and weekend experiences ahead of time Prepare charts, lead sheets and track session for rehearsals and weekend services Maintain strong organizational systems for scheduling, music preparation and team communication. Lead and Develop the Team Build genuine, caring relationships with worship team volunteers, leading, encouraging, and appreciating them as people, not just musicians Lead and partner with team leads, developing them as leaders and empowering them to lead their teams well Help train, coach, and develop the talents of the worship team. Lead the worship team not just musically but spiritually, investing in the faith and growth of each team member Schedule and lead the band through rehearsals and Sunday worship Recruit, audition, and develop additional band members as the team grows Evaluate each Sunday's worship and provide constructive, encouraging feedback to musicians and vocalists Lead with Excellence and Teamwork Collaborate with staff and the broader ministry team, championing unity Maintain strong organizational systems for scheduling, communication, and events Lead with humility, curiosity, and teachability Work as a team with honesty, kindness, and care for one another Qualifications A growing personal relationship with Jesus Musically talented vocally, with strong experience on guitar, keys, or other instruments Prior experience leading worship on stage is preferred; prior stage experience in any musical context is required Strong relational leadership and communication skills Experience recruiting, leading, or managing volunteer teams Highly organized with strong time management skills Alignment with Pinnacle's mission, vision, and values High school diploma required; bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred •Preferred but not required (we're happy to train): Planning Center, Multitracks or similar playback software, ProPresenter, general familiarity with sound boards, in-ear monitor systems, and general band or production tech Location & Relocation This position is based in Canton, NC Candidates must live in or be willing to relocate to Haywood County (Candler, NC is acceptable).
