Job Description

Overview Lead the church in coordinating and developing a comprehensive Family Ministry program focused on spiritual development and discipleship for all ages by introducing the unsaved to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and providing church and community members opportunities for growth in their Christian faith. Family Ministry includes Sunday School and youth programs, overseeing children's ministry and a children's committee, women's and men's small group Bible studies, overseeing Vacation Bible School, and any other special events which focus on Christian education and discipleship. Responsibilities Provide spiritual leadership, with an emphasis on church and community, in the coordination, development, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive Christian education ministry for the entire family. Oversee a children's ministry and a children's committee Be the church representative for Raising Arrows Academy - United Love Campus Plan, create and implement visionary and creative youth ministry at ULBC that fosters salvation, encourages participation and/or commitment to various fields of mission and empowers students to share their Christian faith with others comfortably. Serve as an educational resource for other church programs and committees. Evaluate and select Sunday school curriculum and assist individual Sunday School leaders in the selection of class-specific material. Advise church leaders/teachers about Christian educational curriculum available for small group studies, retreats, special events, etc. Coordinate the production and dissemination of informational and public relation materials such as the church website, advertising, news releases, etc. Work with ULBC Nominating Committee to select, enlist, and train qualified leaders. Encourage, recruit, motivate and empower volunteers within the church to assist with activities and events. Supervise volunteers when necessary. Prepare and submit a Family ministry budget. Plan and administer the spending of budgeted funds for educational programs. Requirements Bachelor of Arts degree and some seminary preferred 2 years minimum of relevant experience working with family ministry in some capacity Adept and comfortable at public speaking Ability to effectively interface with all types of people inside and outside the church Written testimony and vision for ULBC Complete and intensive background check and credit check are mandatory (full position description available upon request)
Pay:
$46,000.00 - $51,000.00 per year
