The B'Yachad Director drives the educational mission of the program through effective programming, is responsible for management of the staff and teachers of the program, and ensures the ongoing success and stability of the program. This person is successful in performing these tasks utilizing experience directing a small school program with a robust Jewish learning environment. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future direction of our religious program. We are seeking an individual with creative and forward-thinking ideas in modern Jewish education. Qualifications Master's Degree in Jewish education or related field, or Bachelor's Degree in same with 5+ years of experience Background in Jewish education, curriculum design, and/or school leadership Demonstrated business knowledge, including fiscal management Demonstrated tech literacy and ability to use web-based programs such as Canva, Google Suite, ShulCloud Demonstrated track record in recruitment, retention, and program growth Familiarity with safety and security procedures Strong organizational and operational skills Warm, collaborative communicator who thrives in a community‑centered environment Passion for Jewish learning and family engagement This is a part-time position (25 hours). The director works closely with the B'Yachad Administrative Assistant, clergy, and synagogue staff.
About B'Yachad:
B'Yachad is the Hebrew word that means together. We are a collaborative religious school comprised of students from Congregation Ohav Shalom and B'nai Sholom Reform Congregation. Based on our religious traditions and values, B'Yachad serves and respects the needs of children from diverse Jewish backgrounds. The mission of B'Yachad is to provide Jewish children with opportunities to experience Judaism with their whole bodies, not only their minds. Our holiday programs are rich and fun. We offer many exciting an engaging hands on activities that bring meaning to the students learning and engage their creative sides. Our students are taught Torah, T'filliah, about our Jewish religion, holidays, traditions, culture, Hebrew, Israel, and ethics and values including an understanding of social needs.
