Job Description

Overview We are seeking an energetic, relational, and organized Kids Church Director to oversee our children's ministry programs (1st through 5th grade). You will be responsible for lesson planning, casting the vision for our Kids Church, equipping parents, and recruiting/training a dedicated team of volunteers to shepherd our youngest members. This job is part-time, 2-3 hours per week on Sunday morning.
Duties Volunteer Leadership:
Recruit, train, schedule, and encourage a fantastic team of volunteer teachers and classroom helpers.
Curriculum & Programming:
Select, prepare, and oversee engaging, age-appropriate Bible lessons, worship, and activities for Sunday gatherings.
Family Partnerships:
Partner with and equip parents to be the primary spiritual leaders for their children at home.
Child Safety:
Maintain a spotless, secure, and welcoming environment by ensuring all child protection policies, background checks, and safety protocols are implemented flawlessly.
Ministry Administration:
Manage the children's ministry budget, order supplies, and oversee the child check-in and roster systems.
Special Events:
Plan and coordinate seasonal outreach and family events (e.g., Vacation Bible School, Christmas programs, Fall Festivals).
Qualifications Spiritual Leadership:
A vibrant, growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a clear alignment with our church's mission and statement of faith.
Experience:
Experience leading or serving in a children's ministry, education, or related field. Volunteer experience accepted.
Relational Skills:
Exceptional ability to build trusted relationships with kids, parents, and volunteers.
Organization:
Self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple projects and administrative tasks.
Background Check:
Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and adhere to all strict safe-church policies.
Pay:
From $25.00 per hour
