Job Description

Job Summary Position Summary The Youth Ministry Director will lead and develop a Christ-centered ministry for children and youth that encourages spiritual growth, biblical understanding, and participation in the life of the church. This position will work under the supervision of the Senior Pastor and in partnership with parents and volunteers to disciple youth in the faith. The goal of the ministry is to help students know Christ, grow in faith, and become active participants in the church and mission of God. Duties 1. Weekly Youth Gathering Biblical teaching Prayer Fellowship Discipleship Encourage a welcoming and safe environment for students. 2. Sunday Integration Attend Sunday worship regularly. Build relationships with youth and families. Encourage youth participation in the life of the church. 3. Discipleship and Relationships Build mentoring relationships with students. Encourage spiritual growth through Scripture and prayer. Support and communicate with parents regarding the spiritual development of their children. 4. Volunteer Development Recruit and coordinate adult volunteers when possible. Provide guidance and encouragement for volunteer leaders. 5. Organize occasional special events Service projects Retreats or camps Fellowship outings Ensure events align with the mission of the church. 6. Communication Communicate regularly with youth and parents regarding schedules and events. Coordinate with church leadership regarding ministry plans. Biblical teaching Prayer Fellowship Discipleship Encourage a welcoming and safe environment for students. Requirements Professed faith in Jesus Christ and history worshipping with a church community. Background in youth ministry, religious organization childcare experience, or related fields such as social work or nonprofit faith-based organizations preferable Knowledge of Reformed Theology preferred Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage young people effectively Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing volunteers and organizing events Ability to plan activities that promote spiritual growth, and community involvement Join us in shaping the next generation of Christians.
