Position:
Part-time, Non-Exempt Position Summary:
Functions as an integral member of the parish staff, sharing in the responsibility of the needs assessment, decision-making, planning, and implementation of parish ministries and operations. The Faith Formation Admin works under the direction of the Pastoral Associate and with the Children's Ministry Coordinator to address the parish's spiritual, pastoral, educational, and administrative needs. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Oversees current and accurate Faith Formation program records and the creation, distribution, and processing of registration forms and records, as well as collecting fees.
  • Responsible for social media content and communication to the parishioners, and creates and designs bulletin notices and flyers for the Faith Formation Programs
  • Collaborates with Faith Formation Team on events and activities
  • Create new volunteers, overseeing publicity of faith formation opportunities and events in the parish and beyond.
  • Maintains and publishes the calendar of Faith Formation ministries, initial and ongoing training, activities, and events.
  • Sufficiency in Microsoft Office, Data input in the Parish system, social media platforms, and website updates.
  • Keep records of the Child Protection Program for all volunteers.
  • Email and phone interactions with parishioners.
  • Maintains confidentiality.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Specific Job Skills:
Needs an understanding of the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. Proven skills in the areas of communications and administration. Must be able to prioritize workload to meet program requirements. Ability to work both independently and as a member of a pastoral team. Must be flexible, creative, and responsible
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, talk, reach, sit, hear, handle, and perform repetitive motions of the hands/wrists. Lifts and moves items up to 20 pounds.
