Job Description The rector we seek is deeply spiritual, grounded in prayer, Biblical teaching and preaching. We expect a deep commitment to pastoral care. He/She cares deeply about the needs of our surrounding community and joins our commitment to being "the hands and feet of Jesus." This rector resides locally and engages with the Bastrop community through participation in the civic life of our city, loving without an agenda. We are seeing rapid growth as a suburb of Austin, Texas. Towards the goal of attracting new and younger members, our rector will construct an engaging children's formation and foster a supportive atmosphere for families. We need a person who will nurture and administer to the needs of our large group of aging and retired individuals within our community. We are blessed with extensive property downtown. We need a leader to helping us envision and plan for a new Parish Hall to better meet the needs of our ministries. It is important that our rector embraces our congregation's diverse views, promoting inclusivity and encouraging all to leave divisive opinions at the door of the church.
