Director of Religious Ed I Roman Catholic Diocese of Richmond Norfolk, VA Job Details Full-time 23 hours ago Qualifications Budget planning Organizational budget management Full Job Description Holy Trinity Catholic Church is seeking a dynamic, faith-filled, and experienced leader to serve as Director of Religious Education. The Director of Religious Education is a key ministerial leader who shares in the pastoral mission of the Pastor by planning, directing, coordinating, and evaluating the parish's comprehensive religious education and sacramental preparation programs for children, youth, adults, and families in English. The Director ensures that all programs are faithful to Catholic teaching, aligned with diocesan guidelines, and responsive to the cultural and pastoral needs of the parish community. This position fosters lifelong faith formation, evangelization, and discipleship while supporting parishioners in their spiritual growth and active participation in the life of the Church.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications:
MA Degree in Religious Education, Theology or related field, or Bachelor's Degree plus a graduate level study.
PATHWAYS
Certification. Three to five years' experience as a coordinator or leader. Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining budgets. Must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with a strong commitment to the teachings and mission of the Catholic Church, Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This regular full-time position requires 40 hours per week. The physical demands include lifting textbooks and resources material that are stored on shelves in the religious education office. Setting up rooms and audio-visual equipment for various meetings. Transporting supplies from one location to another for various activities (i.e. VBS, retreats, etc.).
