Role:

As our Prayer Ministry Coordinator, you will oversee all aspects of Heart of the Nation's prayer outreach efforts, including phone and mail prayer requests. You will lead the day-to-day operations of the ministry while continuing to develop and expand the department's reach, systems, and volunteer support. This role requires someone who can confidently take initiative, collaborate with internal teams, recruit and train prayer volunteers, and create a consistent, compassionate, and faithful experience for those seeking prayer.

Key Responsibilities:

Take ownership of the daily operations and continued growth of the prayer ministry Lead, train, mentor, and support prayer ministry associates and volunteers Recruit, onboard, and retain volunteers to expand the ministry's capacity and reach Provide compassionate, direct prayer support by phone, mail, text, and digital platforms when needed Strengthen systems and processes to ensure prayer requests are handled with care, consistency, and confidentiality Collaborate with internal departments to promote the ministry and support Heart of the Nation's broader mission Develop creative and innovative ways to grow prayer outreach and deepen engagement with the Catholic community Maintain accurate records, track ministry activity, and prepare reports for leadership Foster a warm, faith-filled, service-oriented culture among staff and volunteers Ensure all prayer ministry activities reflect the values, teachings, and pastoral sensitivity of the

Practicing Catholic in good standing with the

Church Required:

At least 2 years of experience in pastoral ministry, parish ministry, volunteer coordination, or a similar field Strong understanding of Catholic prayers, devotions, pastoral care, and Catholic teaching A take-charge leader who can manage daily operations while also thinking strategically about growth Experience recruiting, training, coordinating, or managing volunteers Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work well across departments Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills A calm, empathetic, and positive presence, especially when supporting people in difficult moments Creative, innovative, and proactive approach to ministry development Comfortable using scheduling tools, communication platforms, databases, and digital ministry tools Ability to maintain confidentiality and respond with pastoral sensitivity Why Join Us?
