TBD Job Description The Personal Admissions Officer will report directly to the Director of Admissions. This is a full-time, 12-month position with benefits.
Job Duties:
Ability to organize a maintain a strong college recruitment strategy. Create and maintain relationships with prospective students, high school counselors, and community members. Communicate through email, text, phone calls, and in-person with prospective students and their families about the college admissions process. Build and make presentations at high schools and college fairs. Give campus tours to prospective students and their families. Plan and participate in CBC related on and off-campus activities. Travel independently to high schools, community colleges, churches, and church camps destinations across the state with the possibility of out-of-state travel. Collaborate with the Financial Aid office to offer award letters to prospective students. Perform clerical work such as data entry, review of admissions-related documents, and work within various software to create, maintain, and update student files. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong oral communication skills, detail-oriented, and proactive. Thrives on genuine interpersonal connection. Possesses strong organizational and critical thinking skills. Ability to work independently as well as in a team atmosphere. Strong proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Excel, WORD, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of CRM software is preferred but not required.
Other Requirements:
Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time. Ability to use a computer or be in front of a computer screen for prolonged periods of time. Ability to operate a vehicle and possess a valid driver's license. Available to work flexible hours when needed. Available to work some nights and weekends. Ability to lift and carry 30 pounds.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience in admissions/recruitment procedures, customer service, or related field is preferred. The candidate must support the Christian identity of the college and demonstrate mature faith, a Christian lifestyle, and a strong belief in the Baptist doctrine.
