5329 Position Vacancy Announcement Florida A&M University's Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Enrollment Services is pleased to announce the acceptance of qualified applications for the Senior Admissions/Registrar Officer Vacancy. Responsibilities The Admissions Officer plays a vital behind -the-scenes role in supporting the admissions lifecycle by maintaining data integrity and providing operational support to recruiters, couselors and leadership staff. Accurately enter and update student application information in the university's student information system (SIS) and/or CRM platform; Review submitted materials (e.g. transcripts, test scores, residency documents, fee waivers) for completeness and consistency; Match and upload documents to applicant records, ensuring timely processing for admission decisions; and process and maintain application data for new, transfer, dual enrollment, and readmit student populations. Perform routine audits of records to ensure data accuracy and integrity across systems; Assist with resolving duplicate records and other data entry discrepancies; and maintain strict confidentiality of student information and comply with FERPA and institutional privacy standards. Provide clerical and administrative support to the admissions team, including responding to email inquiries and helping students navigate document submission processes; Generate daily/weekly reports to track progress on application volumes, missing items, or document uploads; and assist in the coordination of file review and completion workflows for admissions counselors and leadership. Participate in staff meetings, cross-training opportunities, and professional development; Support recruitment and orientation events when needed (on-campus or virtual); and perform other duties as assigned to support the mission of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Minimum Qualifications A high school diploma or equivalency and seven years of related experience; or bachelor's degree in appropriate area of specialization and three years of related experience. Recommended Competencies Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of information accurately; Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced enviroment; Proficiency with Micrsoft Office Suite and experience using databases or student information systems; Understanding of FERPA and records confidentiality policies. Pay Plan This is an USPS (University Support Personnel System) position. Conditions of Employment Successful candidate is subject to a pre-employment screening which includes a review of criminal records, reference checks and verification of education. An official college transcript, a high school diploma, or other educational documents must be submitted, where applicable, at the time of employment. Only United States (U.S.) citizens or aliens who have a legal right to work in the U.S. are eligible for employment. Federal law requires proof of your authorization to work in the United States. Section 110.1128, Florida Statutes, prohibits employment by the State (including re-hire after a break in service) of any male born after October 1, 1962, who failed to register with the Selective Service System, under the provisions of the U.S. Military Selective Service Act, during the person's period of eligibility (ages 18 through 25). Additionally, if currently employed by the State, this law prohibits the promotion of such person. You may be required to provide documentation.
