Admission Officer Saint Vincent Academy Newark, NJ Job Details Full-time From $55,105 a year 15 hours ago Benefits Health insurance 401(k) Qualifications Teamwork Microsoft Excel Microsoft Outlook Administrative experience Social media platforms Driver's License Bachelor's degree Microsoft Teams Full Job Description The Admission Officer will play a critical role in facilitating the day-to-day aspects of the admissions process for Saint Vincent Academy. The Admission Officer will be expected to maintain collaborative relationships with all partners and support the overall strategic enrollment efforts of SVA.The individual hired for this role will be responsible for designing and implementing admission strategies that are data-informed and results-oriented. The incumbent may be expected to work some evenings and/or weekends periodically, and the position will require travel.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maximize recruitment strategy and campaigns through the use of the school website, social media, and personalized outreach. Conduct assertive, highly-personalized outreach to prospective students using a variety of different platforms with the goal of meeting strategic enrollment goals. Execute and assess student recruiting events, including information sessions both on and off campus, as well as the SVA Open House. Recruitment events will be both in-person and virtual. Participate in virtual and in-person local, recruitment conferences and fairs with the purpose of building relationships with prospective candidates. Assist faculty members to most effectively engage with prospective students. Report to the president and/or principal of
SVA Required Qualifications:
Ability to manage multiple projects, with competing priorities and deadlines, is critical. Must be able to multi-task. Prior experience working with Student Information Systems (Admissions Plus, Rediker) for the purposes of recruitment and student information tracking is strongly preferred. Must have facility with all Microsoft Office Suite applications; in particular, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate across a diverse population. Strong written and verbal skills. Proven ability to conceive and execute a robust communications campaign to prospective students. Excellent public speaking skills and ability to present Saint Vincent Academy to individual prospective students and other constituencies. Five years of progressively responsible experience in high school recruitment and enrollment management strongly desired. Earned bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required. Primary Responsibilities Manage the admissions process from start to finish. Coordinate enrollment events from concept to implementation. Ability to foster relationships with sending schools and prospective families and applicants Maintain prospective family pipeline, which will include creating a file once an application is submitted, and maintaining that file throughout the admissions process. Speak with prospective families knowledgeably and confidently about SVA's programs. Supports the follow-up with families who are in our admissions pipeline which will include phone calls and e-mails to those on our interest list to build relationships with new families and students. Write and send enrollment newsletters, blog posts, and other communication to the school's interest list; this may include managing social media channels. Partner with admissions leadership to plan, develop and execute student recruitment strategies to drive application growth and achieve enrollment goals. Increase awareness of school admissions through outreach, which includes building relationships with local companies, organizations, associations, communities, and currently enrolled and new families. Participate in or lead family meetings, tours, and entrance exam sessions, information sessions, open houses, and other admissions related events. Ability to work independently with diverse constituents while maintaining high professional standards Direct the Student Ambassador Program. Meet specific lead and enrollment goals and benchmarks. Administrative Responsibilities Build and maintain a calendar of events for the year and oversee registration and preparation (logistics, setup, etc.) for admissions events. Create and maintain an outreach list. Update Power Point presentations for informational sessions and Open House events. Set up and prepare admissions events. Data Analysis Responsibilities Evaluate enrollment data with admissions leadership to determine enrollment strategies and meet enrollment targets. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in marketing or communications preferred Experience within education or a true passion for working within grade 9-12 education Must be comfortable with nontraditional work hours; evenings and some weekends per month are a must Social media experience Microsoft Office (Word, PPT, Excel), Google Workspace, Canava skills are absolutely essential
