An Enrollment or Admission Counselor reviews applications and advises on admissions decisions for private elementary and secondary schools, colleges and universities. Organizes information and promotional materials about a school, conducts interviews with students and families, reviews application materials, and works with other school or college administrators to plan admissions goals and identify financial aid resources for admitted students. May travel to meet and recruit students.

Job Description

Works under the supervision of the Director of Rehab. Responsible for pre-admission screening process from the point of referral to admission to the unit. Works directly with the rehab physician and internal/external referral sources on the screening and admission process. Maintains knowledge of applicable regulatory standards such as JCAHO, CARF and Medicare regulations pertaining to an IRF. Also maintains knowledge of all applicable third-party payer regulations and insurance verification procedures. Consistently accepts and effectively fulfills additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Rehab and/or Unit Manager.
Education, Work Experience and Licensure Education:
At a minimum, must be a graduate of an accredited health care related program (LPN, RN, PT, PTA, LSW, OT, COTA are examples). Experience in a healthcare and/or marketing related area of concentration is preferred but not required. Experience in an adult/geriatric population is also preferred.
Certification:
Certification in the state of OH, or recognized by OH board of nursing, in a health care related field of practice. CPR is required.
