This position is ideal for an admissions professional looking to make a meaningful impact or a hospitality professional interested in transitioning into higher education and student recruitment. We are especially interested in candidates with experience in college admissions, hospitality, culinary arts, restaurant operations, hotel operations, or hospitality management. Training will be provided for the right candidate. About the Role As an Admissions Representative, you will serve as a trusted guide for prospective students and families throughout the enrollment process, from initial inquiry through enrollment and orientation. You will represent Walnut Hill College at high schools, college fairs, community events, open houses, and campus programs while helping students take the next step toward careers in hospitality and the culinary arts. This role combines student counseling, relationship building, event management, public speaking, and recruitment. Successful candidates understand that college admissions is both a service-oriented and goal-oriented profession. Important Requirements Before applying, please note: Valid driver's license required Access to a reliable personal vehicle required Regular local and regional travel required Occasional evening and Saturday work required This is a full-time, on-campus position based in Philadelphia Travel is heaviest during the fall recruitment season (September through November) and generally decreases throughout the remainder of the academic year. Most travel is local or regional and rarely requires overnight stays. Employees who work Saturday recruitment events receive a weekday schedule adjustment. Responsibilities Recruit prospective students through high school visits, college fairs, community events, open houses, and campus programs Develop relationships with high school counselors, educators, and community organizations Present to students, families, educators, and community groups Guide students through the admissions and enrollment process Maintain regular communication by phone, email, text, and in-person meetings Assist students in completing applications and enrollment requirements Discuss educational costs, financing options, and available resources Conduct individual and group campus tours Support admissions events and enrollment initiatives Maintain accurate records using admissions databases and CRM systems Collaborate with faculty and staff to support recruitment goals Qualifications Required Valid driver's license Access to a reliable personal vehicle Excellent communication and presentation skills Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other technology platforms Preferred Bachelor's degree Admissions, enrollment management, recruiting, or sales experience Hospitality, culinary arts, pastry arts, restaurant, or hotel experience CRM or admissions database experience Successful candidates will be: Passionate about hospitality and culinary education Comfortable presenting to small and large groups Enthusiastic and personable Customer-service driven Strong listeners and communicators Goal-oriented and self-motivated Comfortable discussing educational costs and financing options Adaptable, creative, and solution-oriented Collaborative team players Why Walnut Hill College?
