Atlanta, GA Job Details Full-time 12 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Driver's License Bachelor's degree Full Job Description The Office of Admissions seeks an energetic, flexible, empathetic, and detail-oriented person for the Admissions Counselor position. This person recruits prospective students and meets enrollment goals for one or more of Oglethorpe University's degree programs through regional events, on-campus and virtual programs, and project work.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of recruitment for an assigned geographic territory o Develop a comprehensive prospect pool in an assigned geographical territory o Use data from our CRM to strategically schedule and participate in high school visits and college fairs o Maintain sustained communication with all prospective students and families o Intentionally develop and maintain strategic relationships with high school counselors o Ensure the accuracy of data in our CRM o Assist with and attend all on-campus events, including giving admission presentations and campus tours Advise and consult with prospective students and families on admission to Oglethorpe o Deliver contextually appropriate presentations and visit experiences o Engage in intentional and continual learning about the offerings of an Oglethorpe education o Create a warm and inclusive atmosphere on campus and when representing the university o Answer questions thoughtfully and thoroughly for families; provide exceptional customer service Review and evaluate applicants for admission o Critically evaluate applicants for admission based on Oglethorpe's institutional priorities and goals o Follow up with students and families at all stages of the admission cycle to reach enrollment goals Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree. Excellent communication (verbal, written, and digital) and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Ability to work in a fluid environment, prioritize goals, and consistently meet deadlines. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively. Must successfully pass a criminal background check. Preferred Qualifications Bilingual in English and Spanish One or more years of full-time work experience
Additional Information:
This is a full-time, 12-month position with extensive travel. A valid driver's license and personal automobile are required. Working evenings and some weekends required. Position tasks are generally required to be performed in person. Work-from-home options may be granted at the supervisors' discretion. Oglethorpe reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to the employee. Some heavy lifting may be required.
