ELIGIBILITY

Position Summary:
This position has primary responsibility for recruitment of new graduate students for the Graduate Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies program, as well as new undergraduate and graduate international students, and other programmatic areas as appointed by the AD of Graduate Admissions. The individual within this position will guide applicants through the enrollment pipeline.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Establish contact with inquiries and maintain contact through the application process by the use of e-mail, telephone, visits and other appropriate activities designed to move the student through the recruitment funnel using the Slate CRM and the Central Application System (CAS) Develop and build rapport with four-year institutions and businesses- locally and regionally - to cultivate students for Brenau s graduate programs Attend appropriate graduate college fairs and recruiting events Collaborate with all internal stakeholders at Brenau University in order to promote graduate student recruitment of existing undergraduate students. Collaborate with colleges to host and conduct on-campus graduate recruitment events. Collaborate with the offices of Financial Aid, Marketing and the faculty and staff in the departments of Physician Assistants to attract, serve and enroll students Use data from previous years to establish travel and recruitment plans for the assigned areas of responsibility Work with the academic departments and admissions events coordinator to plan, coordinate, and participate in open-houses and other recruitment events Facilitate targeted recruitment initiatives to attract diverse international student populations Help students navigate the F-1 visa process and coordinate initial onboarding requirements Guide accepted international students through compliance, travel preparation, and campus integration When needed, assist with office activities including mailings, data entry, and file maintenance Assist with scheduling tours and other appointments Plan, coordinate, and participate in visitations and open-house activities collaboratively with the College of Health & Sciences and the Admissions Office Assist with office activities including mailings, data entry, and file maintenance Evaluate application files and make recommendations for admissions Assist with scheduling and conducting tours and other appointments Collaborating with the events coordinator to recruit transfer and graduate prospects to campus for events Maintaining transfer/graduate recruiting calendar Registrations for grad fairs and lodging reservations when applicable Attending meetings in the absence of supervisor Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor Knowledge and Job Skills Must possess superior verbal and written communication skills Must be able to promote Brenau and its academic programs effectively, honestly, and openly Must be able to relate very well to prospective students of all ages, and where appropriate to their families Must be self-motivated, highly organized and display a high level of dedication to the University and to the task of promoting the University to the public Basic Expectations Must provide the prospective students the highest level of customer service and support while abiding by the policies of Brenau University and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Seasonal travel and occasional weekends will be required for this position Must arrive punctually (8:30 unless approved/assigned by supervisor) Must dress professionally Must foster an atmosphere of positive teamwork Education Bachelor s degree required. Judgment Must possess the ability to recognize the appropriate procedure to apply to each situation encountered. Must maintain confidentiality of student records and conversations.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
No supervisory responsibilities required.
Work Hours:
Full-time. 37.5 hours per week. Generally, Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. Hours may be extended to meet the needs of the department. Nights/weekends as needed.
Appointment Length:
12 months, continuous
Environmental and Working Conditions/ Physical Demands and Aptitudes:
Sedentary work. Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Able to travel as needed. Must be able to operate and drive a motor vehicle. Must have the ability to travel short distances. Exerting up to 15 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
Title IX Implications:
Responsible employee Any employee who is not a confidential employee. Brenau University requires that all Responsible Employees MUST report any possible sexual harassment or discrimination based on sex to the Title IX Coordinator when the employee has information about conduct that reasonably may constitute sex discrimination or sex-based harassment under Title IX or this part. Employees are encouraged to report these concerns in writing via email. When an employee or a student (or a person who has a legal right to act on behalf of a student) informs any employee (including both Responsible and Confidential employees) of the employee s or student s pregnancy or related conditions, that employee must promptly provide that person with the Title IX Coordinator s contact information and inform that person that the Title IX Coordinator can coordinate specific actions to prevent sex discrimination and ensure the employee s or student s equal access to the Recipient s education program or activity.

Hourly, Non-Exempt (paid bi-weekly)

This is an on-site position based at the Historic Gainesville Campus located in Gainesville, Georgia.
Remote Work Available:
No Travel Requirements :
Frequent travel required, mostly domestic. Occasional overnight stays. Ability to travel throughout an assigned recruiting territory, which requires frequent driving. Due to insurance requirements, employees operating university vehicles or performing any driving activity in one s own personal vehicle for Brenau purposes must be at least 21 years of age, possess a valid Georgia driver s license, and maintain a clean driving record.

Brenau University conducts various screenings to ensure a safe and secure environment. These checks are a condition of employment and may be performed at different times throughout employment. (1)
Background Checks:
All new hires must undergo a criminal background check. To maintain employment, individuals must have and maintain a favorable criminal history. The university may also conduct random background checks. Additional checks may be performed for certain roles. (2)

Motor Vehicle and Driving Checks:
employees who operate a university vehicle or drive on university business must have a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) run as part of the new hire process or as the requirement to drive is added to job responsibilities. To be approved for university travel, employees must meet the following criteria: be at least 21 years old, have and maintain a valid Georgia driver's license, and have and maintain a good driving record. As a condition of employment, employees must report any arrest (within five days of its occurrence) to the Office of Human Resources, including traffic violations for those listed on our auto insurance policy. Disclosure of subsequent legal action (conviction, dismissal of charges, etc.) must also be reported to the Office of Human Resources. It will be evaluated considering continued employment with the immediate supervisor. (4)
Drug Screening:
pre-employment/post-offer drug screens and random drug screens are performed for certain sensitive positions. Random drug screens are also performed on those who travel regularly, or those who operate a university vehicle. All employees are subject to reasonable suspicion drug screening.
