• G16 Job Summary College Admissions Counselors are an essential element of the University administrative team.

Based on program and location capacity, recruiters build student prospects and new student markets by locating, establishing, assist in developing and implementing recruiting strategies and activities that enhance enrollments.

Essential Functions:

• Discovers and cultivates prospective student and new market leads.
• Recruits prospective students and provides essential information related to admissions requirements and enrollment processes.
• Makes vital information available to the community through visits and presentations.
• Works collaboratively with University deans, faculty, staff, alumni, and current students to attract new students.
• Fosters awareness, promotion, and support of a culture of higher education through outreach.
• Assists and supports University initiatives related to recognition and growth.
• Assists Enrollment Coordinator with arranging and coordinating faculty and staff visits with community college counselors or other event coordinators.
• Strategize on opportunities to enhance Early College efforts in SC territories .
• Represent the University at community and outside organization functions including career days, special events and conferences; meet with Principals and South Carolina Independent School Association representatives to organizations to exchange information and answer questions; prepare and deliver presentations regarding programs and services.

Minimum Qualifications 1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field from an accredited college or university 2. One year of recruiting and/or sales experience 3. Must have reliable transportation and current valid driver's license 4. Proven track record of exceeding goals 5. Exceptional communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with a diverse customer base 6. Excellent organizational skills and acute attention to detail Preferred Qualifications 1. Master's degree 2. Higher Education experience Will this position require driving (personal vehicle, university vehicle, utility vehicle, or golf cart) in order to perform the job duties? Driving may be necessary but is not a primary responsibility Work Hours Standard work hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday
