JOB TITLE
Cook/Worker, Child Nutrition Program
REPORTS TO
Principal and CNP Director
ANNUAL CALENDAR DAYS
184 days (9 Months)
JOB GOALS
To assist in providing a school food service program safely and efficiently to meet nutritional needs of students and staff while complying with local, state and federal regulations. Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Effective Human Relation Skills
  • Professionalism, Dedication and Flexibility
  • Previous Experience Preferred but Not Required
  • Ability to be punctual and in regular attendance Responsibilities
  • Follow attendance, punctuality and proper dress rules.
  • Perform other tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of this position.
  • Performs duties in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Follows written and verbal instruction
  • Engages in required orientations, training, safety instruction, and meetings as required for effective job performance and/or advancement.
  • Reports absences and take leave in accordance with Board policies.
  • Works in food preparation, cleaning, serving, storage and facility maintenance. May be assigned cashier and/or clerical duties.
  • Works under supervision of CNP manager. Follows work schedule and performs duties assigned by manager.
  • Follows CNP and other Opelika City Schools Board policies in professional growth and training.
  • Shows interest in professional growth and training.
  • Demonstrates competency in performance of job.
  • Produces satisfactory work on job tasks in a reasonable time.
  • Has satisfactory relationship with students, faculty and co-workers.
  • Physically and mentally capable of performing all jobs normally assigned to a CNP employee.
  • Maintain cleanliness in workstations. Cooperate with manager in supporting local and state public health laws and standards.
  • Perform additional assigned duties as designated by the CNP Manager, CNP Coordinator and Principal.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
