We are looking for highly motivated educators dedicated to supporting students who navigate significant academic, social, and emotional challenges. We value teachers who are passionate about engaging, relevant, and inclusive instruction, and who are committed to helping every student realize their full potential. We are seeking teachers experienced in developing safe, supportive environments where students can strive and succeed; build self confidence and strengthen coping strategies; create positive and healthy relationships; and express emotions. We want teachers skilled with behavior management and constructive crisis intervention strategies and techniques. Also, individuals open to collaborating and/or co-teaching with general education colleagues, service providers (school psychologists, social workers and speech and language therapists) as well as students' caregivers and families. As a counseling enriched program teacher, you will design learning opportunities that build excitement among our high school students
  • encouraging them to come to class and experience the joy of learning.
You will center your students' experiences with a culturally responsive approach and truly listen to what students are saying. You will create a supportive space for students to be challenged and praise their insights and curiosities along the way. If you are a collaborative educator, familiar with developing and monitoring IEPs, committed to the role of teacher and case manager for a dynamic group of students with a wide range of strengths and areas of need in special education, and invested in the growth of each student, this could be the job for you.
