Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
We have immediate openings for Family Outreach Assistant to support our team in enrolling and retaining eligible students in our learning programs. This role requires strong experience in family engagement, with a proven ability to effectively communicate with families and successfully recruit, enroll, and retain students in the educational programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Effectively communicate with families from an assigned student list through calls and text messages. Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent organizational abilities. Utilize basic computer skills and software applications to support daily tasks. Maintain a positive attitude while demonstrating flexibility and reliability in all aspects of work. Manage multiple tasks and priorities while meeting tight deadlines. Work independently as a self-starter, demonstrating accountability and responsibility. Accurately collect, document, and input all communication notes with families. Create and maintain detailed call logs and attendance records using Excel. Support outreach efforts to recruit, enroll, and retain students in the program. Travel may be required within a 100-mile radius of Fresno, California to deliver or collect student materials and equipment Other duties as assigned to support program sites.
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or some college in education, social work, communications, or a related field preferred. 1-3 years of experience in family engagement, community outreach, customer service, or educational program support. Experience working with diverse communities and communicating effectively with families, preferably in an educational or youth-serving setting.
QUALIFICATIONS AND DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS
Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) required to support effective communication with families. Experience with student recruitment, enrollment, or retention efforts is highly desirable. Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, Zoom) and data entry systems. Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation for local travel. Fingerprints, CPR, and TB clearance might be required
COMPENSATION RANGE
Hourly rate $16.90 Part-time . Hours will vary and end at 630pm the latest.
