Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated team as a Child Supervised Visitation Monitor and play a vital role in supporting safe, positive interactions between children and their families. In this role, you will supervise visitations to ensure they occur in a secure, respectful, and child-focused environment. Your compassionate approach and strong communication skills will help foster healthy family relationships while maintaining safety and order. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families navigating challenging circumstances. Responsibilities Supervise scheduled visitations between children and their non-custodial parents or guardians, ensuring compliance with court orders and safety protocols Observe and document interactions, noting any behavioral concerns or safety issues to inform case management Enforce visitation rules and boundaries to promote respectful, positive exchanges Respond promptly to any conflicts or disruptions during visitations using conflict management techniques Maintain detailed records of visitation sessions, incidents, and observations in accordance with agency policies Collaborate with social workers, family law professionals, and other stakeholders to support family reunification goals Provide crisis intervention when necessary, de-escalating tense situations with calm professionalism and empathy Skills Strong knowledge of child welfare practices, including child protective services and family law procedures Experience with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities, including working with individuals with disabilities Proficiency in motivational interviewing techniques to encourage positive family interactions Ability to manage conflicts effectively through conflict management skills and behavioral health awareness Skilled in crisis intervention and crisis management strategies to ensure safety at all times Excellent communication skills for documenting observations clearly and professionally Compassionate demeanor combined with the ability to handle sensitive situations discreetly and ethically This position is ideal for motivated individuals passionate about supporting families through challenging times.
